[ When Fushiguro had first told him about the party, it had sounded pretty exciting.
His foster dad or whatever it was intended to have his big yearly party, and since Fushiguro was helping out this year he was going to bring someone to help make it less stuffy. Enter Yuji Itadori, who’d grown up poor with his grandpa and had never seen a house this big, let alone been inside it. Going from his tiny apartment and his scholarship to the opulence of the famous Gojo estate had taken some time to get used to, and he knows he looks like a fish out of water compared to everyone else.
He’d done his best, though, let his friend dress him up and drag him around introducing him to people. There weren’t too many names that actually stood out to him, but there’s one guy who was totally unforgettable: Nanami something - Fushiguro hadn’t given his first name. Yuji had been captivated immediately; he was tall and broad, polite, seemed to be nice enough, and spoke softly to Fushiguro in a way that made Yuji feel as though he wouldn’t be treated like an idiot.
Before they could do anything else he’d been dragged away and he’d thought, well. That was that. The party was large enough he didn’t think he’d see anyone twice, let alone someone he actually wanted to talk to a second time.
Stealing away from it all for some air, off in a quiet corner of the too big garden space, he jumps a little when he hears that familiar voice. Eyes widening, he turns his head to look and… Wow, it really was him. Maybe today really was his lucky day: a great, delicious dinner, an evening with his best friend and a chance to talk to the hottest guy at the party.
Nodding, hoping the darkness of the evening hides his blush, Yuji waves a hand and motions for Nanami to join him, lots of space on the bench. ]
A little bit of both? I’m not used to this kind of thing, so it got overwhelming.
