[Morning. Thankfully not the break of dawn when he usually gets up. Rather sometime later morning. When Yuji's returning to his room from a morning bathe or routine. A fitting gift box sits outside his door, suspiciously cool to the touch. Inside nestles a few gifts and a card.

A year ago, I was only getting used to you as an ally. Now it feels like I've known you for years. There aren't a lot of people I can say have seen me, and helped me, at my lowest, or have let me help them at theirs. I've watched you all this time, and I've seen how brave you are, how kind, and strong. You're one of the greatest people I've ever known, and sometimes I'm a little jealous this stupid place didn't let us meet even earlier. But I'm glad I got to meet you when I did.
Thanks, for always being there for me, for reaching out when I've needed it, for believing in me and accepting me. Hero. Even when I went back home, I refuse to accept a part of you didn't come back with me when I needed it most. We're from different worlds, and yet, my life wouldn't be the same without you. I'm happy you were born, that you're you, and that my best friend is you. Donburi dinner's on me whenever you want it.

Cushioned on a cold pack, a trio of strawberrysushirolls(yes i've had some and yes they're delicious) for Yuji and Raidou to have, either for breakfast or lunch or a snack later. There's a mixture of solemn solidarity and confident victory within the image, calling back a promise they both made to each other so many months ago.
